Quantum Simulation of Effective Field Theories

I will review the recent results on using quantum algorithms to understand fundamental properties in High Energy Physics. The goal of this work is to allow the calculation of important properties of the Standard Model non-perturbatively and ultimately to simulate scattering at colliders from first principles. I will show that by simulating matrix elements of effective theories one maximizes the available resources on a quantum computer.
